What inspired your family members to choose Morristown across generations? (i.e. traditions, a particular experience, or a shared value):
My great grandfather came to Morristown from North Carolina in 1898 and raised his 8 children in Morristown and my family has been here ever since. My grandmother lived in Morristown all 86 years of her life and raised her 3 children in Morristown and they all attend MSD schools as well as myself. Morristown is and will always be home, there isn't any place like it. Family's were interconnected across generations and races. I am proud 3rd generation Morristownian.

How have your experiences as a Morristown student, parent, or grandparent influenced the personal or professional journeys of you and your family members?
My experience growing up in Morristown has shaped me in to the man I am today due the diversity that makes Morristown the great place it is. I had friends from all backgrounds and walks of life, which has allowed me to be comfortable with anyone and in any setting.

In what ways has attending Morristown High School created a stronger bond within your family?
Both my mother and grandmother have passed away but there was always a rich pride knowing that both my grandmother and mother walked the same halls as I did. Not only did my mother and grandmother go to Morristown High but my two uncles and the majority of my mother's first cousins. There is a long standing history of my family in Morristown High School.

Any special memories or reflections that highlight the significance of this shared experience?
80 years after my grandmother entered Morristown High her great granddaughter entered, which means her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter all graduated from Morristown High.
