COMMUNITY SHOWS UP FOR THE MSD

What started out as a dreary Monday on March 24, ended as a joyful celebration of the Morristown community when nearly 100 attendees joined Colonial Nation at Glenbrook Brewery for another Motown-themed Trivia Night!

Alumni, parents and supporters formed 16 teams to put their love of Motown to the test. Many teams had multiple rounds of perfect scores, but after five fun-filled rounds, three took home top honors! Congrats to the First-Place winners, The Senior Colonials, who won a Dinner and Dancing Package from Fred Astaire Morristown and Bistro 46. Second Place winners, Bring Back Macculloch Kolsch, won two gift baskets from The Sunroom. and Third Place winners, We Know Morris Than You, received gift cards from Enjou Chocolate and 23 South Boutique. Two individuals took home door prizes for pre-registering for Trivia Night including, Jeffrey S., winner of a $50 Blue Purl gift card and Liz O., MHS teacher who fittingly won the $200 MHS Swag Bag door prize.

At Trivia, Colonial Nation also launched its Colonial Nation online store - your one-stop shop for Morristown High School alumni gear! Now alumni, parents, and MHS supporters can choose and customize apparel and accessories to proudly represent MHS. Run by a District parent, every purchase supports the District, with 6% of the proceeds supporting the schools. 

The biggest winner of the night by far was the Morris School District's 10 schools as the goal was to raise $1,000 through live fundraising and surpassed it with $1,600! Along with ticket sales and generous sponsors, Trivia Night raised nearly $5,000 to directly benefit the District students and teachers.

Colonial Nation's first in-person fundraising event was a huge success thanks to our volunteers, attendees, donors and generous sponsors who include: The Dougherty Group, Beyond the Green, The Clubhouse Golf Center (Colonial Gold Sponsors), Match Nonprofit Consulting (Morristown Silver Sponsor), Chef Fredy's Table, SJG Designs and Ann & Warren Rhines (Friend Bronze Sponsors).
